Message from Our Chairman
During
this Christmas season, there is so much news to catch up on.
Thoughtful giving throughout the year means that more and more
people’s lives are now filled with joy, hope and peace.
Let me tell you all
the different accomplishments Guideposts Outreach has been able to
do with generous support from supporters in 2007:
PRAYER
The new internet
home of The Ruth Stafford Peale Prayer Power Network opened
its welcoming doors. Already providing an expanded range of
services,
www.OurPrayer.org is a
place for prayer services, the meeting place of online prayer
groups, and the place to find a vast array of spiritual content.
This year our volunteers and staff prayed
for over 550,000 requests!
INSPIRATIONAL
LITERATURE
Your support
allowed us to send over 4 million copies of literature,
including our Guideposts magazines, outreach booklets, calendars,
cards and books around the world! Those who were touched by this
inspirational help were located at military installations, schools,
hospitals, churches, nursing homes, VA hospitals, and prisons.
MILITARY
OUTREACH
The Military was
indeed touched by our Outreach efforts. Over 100,000 copies of
the new booklet A Prayer for Every Need are now carried in
the rucksacks and pockets of America’s military men and women
serving in the line of duty all over the world. Many have received
a special military edition of Daily Guideposts which is soft
cover, pocket-sized with a camouflage design.
KNIT FOR KIDS
Knit for Kids has
surged in its numbers, and has reached a milestone of 400,000
sweaters!
We are so blessed to have dedicated knitting and crocheting
volunteers who faithfully send in newly handmade sweaters. In turn,
Guideposts Outreach finds distribution channels to send them to
those children challenged by poverty, disaster and despair who need
to feel the power of God’s love.
And with your
continued support, we will be able to help even more people in 2008!
Donate today.
May your Christmas
be filled with love, joy and peace.
Blessings on you
and yours,
Elizabeth Peale
