I usually receive my Christmas Gift renewal in the summer. I
haven’t received it yet. When can I expect it?

Last
year when you renewed your gift subscriptions you enrolled in
our Preferred Subscriber’s Program. This program eliminates,
as requested by readers like you, early and frequent renewal
reminders.
As a Preferred
Subscriber, beginning this year, each fall you will receive
a list of all those you sent gift subscriptions to last year
and a bill at the current subscription rate. At that time
you can make any changes or additions and return the list
with your payment. Upon receipt of your payment, we will prepare
a card to each person on your list announcing your thoughtful
gift. These cards will be mailed around Thanksgiving to ensure
arrival in time for Christmas.
This program
will greatly reduce the amount of mail you receive from us,
ensure no interruption of service to those you give gifts
to, allow you to pay for your gift subscriptions right before
they are renewed instead of months in advance and
save money and paper.

Why am I receiving requests to renew so early?

Like
most magazine publishers we mail our renewal notices well in
advance of the expiration date. We do this in an effort to give
our loyal subscribers the benefit of good service.
When you
renew early, we are able to guarantee that your renewal order
has been processed correctly and that you will not miss an
issue. However, we have heard from customers that they do
not wish to be reminded so early. In response to your feedback,
we are now offering a new automatic renewal program. If you
chose to participate in this program you will be billed, at
the current rate, approximately two months before the expiration
date of your subscription. Your gift subscriptions and Christmas
gifts will also be automatically renewed and gift cards sent
at the appropriate time. With this program you will no longer
receive renewal notices for yourself and your recipients.
